THERAPEUTIC BODYWORK & MODALITIES

Philosophy

I’ve trained in many methods of massage therapy and bodywork, and I use each one for a reason: to relieve pain, reduce inflammation, restore mobility and range of motion, support your immune system, and help you truly relax. You don’t pick from this list. We find what your body is asking for, and I choose the right tools.

Modality

Myofascial Release — Gentle, sustained work that releases tension in the fascia caused by trauma, posture, or

inflammation. Best for: deep, spread-out tightness that massage alone doesn’t reach.

Trigger Point Therapy — Focused pressure that releases the sore “knots” that refer pain to other parts of your

body. Best for: that spot that always comes back.

Cupping — Suction cups lift and decompress tissue, easing inflammation, smoothing fascia, and drawing

blood flow to restricted areas. Best for: circulation and stubborn restriction.

Sports Massage — Muscle work built for physically demanding lifestyles: running, tennis, golf, and other

repetitive-motion sports. Best for: training support and staying in your sport.

Gua Sha — A traditional technique using a smooth-edged tool to gently work tissue, supporting circulation

and range of motion. Best for: tension that lives near the surface.

Lymphatic Drainage — A light, rhythmic massage that relieves swelling and supports the system that protects

you from illness. Best for: swelling, post-treatment support, and recovery.

Compression Therapy — Compression boots increase blood flow and help your lymphatic system clear waste.

Best for: before and after races and endurance events.

Which one is right for me?

You don’t have to know. Truly. Your first visit starts with an assessment, and I’ll walk you through exactly what I’m seeing and which of these tools will help. If what you need isn’t something I offer, I’ll point you to the provider who can help.
